Hole |
![]() Hole #3The only par 5 on the front nine, this double dogleg turns left then right, and is reachable for a big hitter. Others will need to keep their second shot right of the fairway trap, as well as left of the hazard on the right. Avoid the collection area to the left and the pond to the right with your third shot. The green is 38 yards from front to back. Make sure to take extra club for your uphill approach. |
![]() Hole #5Hole 5 presents your first risk/reward opportunity. Measuring only 328 yards from the blue tees, big hitters will have the opportunity to drive the green. However, with the green built at the top of a hill, a misplaced tee shot can kick out-of-bounds. More conservative players can lay-up short of the creek and between the two mounds, giving them a short iron approach. A creek that is not visible from the tee crosses the fairway 50 yards from the green. |
![]() Hole #6As the foremost handicap hole, the sixth hole requires an aggressive tee shot that avoids the O.B. right, as well as the hazard and bunker on the left. A precise mid- to long-iron approach is necessary to avoid the hazards left and right, in addition to the bunker that guards the left side of the green. |
![]() Hole #7The seventh hole offers another risk/reward opportunity on this sharp dogleg right. Trees and a creek line the left side of the fairway while a lake protects the right side of the fairway and green. Aggressive players can cut the corner for a shorter approach. The conservative route requires an exact tee shot that leaves a short iron approach to a heavily-bunkered green. | OUT |
![]() Hole #10A tee shot down the right side will run to the left on this soft dogleg left. Be careful not to go too far left, or the lone tree on the corner of the dogleg will cause you trouble. Play it safe to the middle of the green on your approach, avoiding the bunker that guards the left side of the green. |
![]() Hole #14The easiest par 5 on the golf course is the best opportunity for birdie. A long drive can catch the downhill slope, adding another 30-50 yards to your drive. If you have to lay-up, avoid the fairway bunker 50 yards short of the green. The green has a ridge running from front to back, so make sure your approach finds the correct side of the green. |
![]() Hole #16The signature hole at Buffalo Creek, this hole has been rated as one of the toughest par 5’s in Texas by the Dallas Morning News. The fairway winds to the left around a large pond. Then you must decide if you can lay-up short of the creek that crosses the fairway 180 yards from the green. If you try to lay-up over the creek, you must avoid the trees that line both sides of the fairway. Take an extra club for your uphill approach to a two-tiered green, then watch out for the bunkers left that sit well below the green. |
![]() Hole #18The final hole is one of the more scenic tee shots on the course. A downhill tee shot on this dogleg left must avoid the fairway bunkers left. Balls finding one of these bunkers will have to be played short of the creek that crosses the fairway 100 yards from the green. A tee shot that finds the fairway will leave a mid-iron approach to an elevated green. | IN | TOT | Men's | Women's | ||||||||||
